The T.C. Williams High School English Department and Student Council Association will sponsor a book release for “Bridging the Gap: The Journey Towards Self-Restoration & Inward Repair,” the first book by English 11 Teacher Alexander Duncan III. The event will take place at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13, in the school’s Rotunda, 3330 King Street, Alexandria.
The event will include a book reading by the author. Copies of the book, published by Asta Publications, will be available for $15 each. Duncan will be available to sign books.
The author’s description of the book states, “The time has finally come when you are tired of how things have been and fed up with what you’ve settled for in life. The time has come for you to heal; the time has come for you to be made whole; the time has come for you to bridge the gap!” Duncan says the book allows the reader to learn from experiences of the past, effectively move over the gaps of the present and live a greater life in their future.
