The T. C. Williams High School volleyball team took the floor at home last night with a record of 4-3. Although they finished their match against the Woodson Caveliers with a loss, the Titans played hard, coming back from a two game deficit to make this one of the most exciting matches of the young season.
Many fans left after the first two games, believing that the Titans didn’t have a chance. However, T. C. got their offense on-track in the third game and looked even stronger in the fourth.
The Titans began the fifth and deciding game with a 3-0 run, and the crowd at The Garden was hopeful. The Titan defense broke down, however, and the girls lost the final game, 15-11.
The Titans have another game at home on Wednesday, Sept. 24, against Herndon. Game time is 7:15 p.m. The girls begin Patriot District competition on Thursday night at West Potomac.
