T. C. was supposed to meet Edison in the second round of the Northern Regional tournament but W. T. Woodson had something to say about that and knocked off the Eagles in a Regional first round game. Though the Cavaliers came to The Garden to play on Tuesday night, the Titans rolled, 48-32.

For the first minutes of the game, it appeared that neither team would score. The Titans, however, got slowly on track and Woodson was never closer than three points. By the second half, tenacious defense and good enough shooting got the Titans ahead far enough for Coach Ivan Thomas to play his entire bench.

The Titans will meet Patriot District rival Lake Braddock in the semifinal round of Regional’s on Friday night at 9:00 p.m. at the Patriot Center. The last time these two teams met was the semifinal round of the Patriot District tournament just one week ago when the Bruins held the ball for the first six minutes of the game and stalled the Titans to a 26-20 T. C. victory. Lake Braddock got to the semis by defeating favored Westfield on Monday night and McLean on Tuesday night.
