Just say “I support Maury” when you make a purchase at the Potomac Yards Barnes & Noble, 3651 Jefferson Davis Hwy., Alexandria, on Saturday, Dec. 6, and a portion of the payment will go to Matthew Maury Elementary School’s PTA to support its literacy efforts.
The bookfair will run from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. PTA volunteers will be on hand from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. to offer free gift wrapping of Barnes & Noble purchases. Principal Lucretia Jackson will host a free story hour at the store at 11 a.m.
Other highlights include kindergarten stories at 10:30 a.m. with Ms. Dykhuis and Ms. Nelson and bedtime stories with Ms. Scully at 7 p.m.
