Letter from Mount Vernon Community School PTA President John Donaldson
Dear MVCS PTA Community,
As some of you may know, our wonderful PE teacher Scott Allan and his wife Heather had a beautiful baby boy this fall–a great addition to their bevy of three daughters! Unfortunately, little Everett has been struggling with a myriad of health problems since his birth. He is currently enduring a long stay at Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh, where he was taken after falling severely ill on a family trip during winter break. The situation has placed a tremendous burden on the Allan family, with insurance not able to provide for the many additional expenses being incurred.
While Everett and his mom are in Pittsburgh, Coach Allan has been doing his usual great job with our kids, as well as taking care of his daughters. Let’s help the coach in any way we can. I’m sure he’d appreciate cards, kind words, good deeds.
Also a relative has already set up a trust fund in Everett’s name to help with the many expenses not covered by insurance. Those who wish to contribute can make a check to:
