At around 8:00 p.m. on Sunday night, an Alexandria police officer was in his cruiser in the 3600 block of Commonwealth Avenue. The officer heard a loud noise and got out of his car to investigate. He found a bullet hole in the rear of his car. Although the officer and other members of the Department investigated, they found no gun or any other explanation for the incident.
