Political Candidates And Private Schools

Don’t you just love it when voters or political campaigns make an issue about their opponent having his or her children in private school? Of course they do, if they can afford to do so. Politicans want the “best education” for their children and public school may not be the answer. When Senator Mark Warner ran for Governor of Virginia, and stressed the need for improved public education, all of his three children were in private school in Alexandria. After his election and move to Richmond, he continued to keep his daughters in private school. Money talks and candidates with money can spend it any way they want. Obviously this was not an issue for Virginia voters who elected Mr. Warner to be Governor. Let’s get real here. It doesn’t mean the candidate doesn’t care about public education. Its a fact of life!!!
