Fairfax County Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Joseph Snow Schrotz, 19, of no fixed address. Schrotz is a white male, about 6 feet 1 inches tall and weighs approximately 200 pounds.

Alexandria Police Identify Suspect In Murder At Golden Crust Bakery

Alexandria Police have identified the suspect in Friday’s homicide as Jose Russo, 50, of Alexandria. Autopsy results determined he died of a self inflicted gunshot wound to his upper body.

Alexandria Police Identify Homicide Victim From Double Shooting On East Monroe Avenue

Alexandria Police have identified the victim of Friday’s homicide as Kossi Djossou, 19, of Fairfax County. On Friday, December 18, at approximately 7:30 P.M., officers responded for a report of shots fired. Upon their arrival, they found two victims. One victim was transported to a local hospital. The second victim was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause and manner of death.

For the more than 400 inmates who currently live in the Alexandria jail, the holidays are not a happy time. Yesterday, Sheriff Dana Lawhorne and his staff, with the assistance of local nonprofits and volunteers, did what they could to bring some cheer to the detainees.

Alexandria Police Launch Advanced Analytic Capability

The Alexandria Police Department is the first local law enforcement agency in the national capital region to launch a new text analytic technology that will vastly increase its capacity to more effectively analyze and utilize huge volumes of crime data. Through a partnership with IxReveal, APD is implementing analytic technology software called uReveal, which is already used by major federal agencies, intelligence organizations and corporations.

Arlington Man Arrested For Unlawful Videotaping, Dies In Jail

Paul Antonio Calva, 44, of Arlington, was found dead in his cell at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center last night. He was arrested on Saturday at Fair Oaks Mall and was charged with two counts of unlawful filming, videotaping, or photographing of another after allegedly video taping a woman in the dressing room of a specialty store.

Two People Robbed At Wendy’s In Penn Daw

Two people were robbed at the Wendy’s restaurant, located at 6329 Richmond Highway, on Saturday, December 12. Two men wearing masks entered the restaurant around 8:33 p.m. One suspect displayed a handgun and demanded money from a male customer waiting in line while the second suspect stood nearby. The customer complied and handed over his wallet.

Child Sexually Assaulted At Park

A seven-year-old boy was sexually assaulted around 11:15 a.m. on Saturday, December 12, at Lee District Park, 6601 Telegraph Road. The boy went into a bathroom where he was confronted by a man who allegedly sexually assaulted him. After leaving the bathroom, the boy told his mother what happened and she summoned police. Several citizens kept the suspect in sight until police arrived and took him into custody. The victim was not injured.
