A 10-year-old Alexandria-area girl was allegedly assaulted by a male acquaintance. Police were called on Monday, March 23 when it was discovered the victim had been sexually assaulted and raped several times since December 2008.
The most recent assault occurred on Monday, March 16 after school. The victim was approached by the suspect who attempted to get her to join him in a laundry room of an apartment compex in the 4900 block of Manitoba Drive. The 28-year-old suspect offered her money but she continued to decline. The victim was taken into the laundry room by the suspect where he allegedly forced her to disrobe before assaulting her. The victim did not require medical attention and the suspect has not been arrested.
Police are continuing to investigate.
