Travel and Exercise

Tomorrow I will be traveling to James Madison University with my daughter for a college visit. When I travel I try to figure out possible workouts in advance so I can pack what I need.  I will be taking clothes for two running workouts, extra shorts and a bathing suit as the hotel  has an indoor pool and work out room.

Running in a new place adds variety to running. It is also a quick way to have a look around and scout out places you might want to go to eat, shop or visit later on. It is also the easiest exercise to do when traveling as there is always somewhere to run, even if you just find a high school and run on their track.

Last few days workouts:

Monday–Run 7 miles

Tuesday–Spin class at the YMCA for one hour

Wednesday–Jog to YMCA, 25 minutes of weights, run outside 5 miles

Thursday– Ran to TC track, 2 times 1/4 miles with 1/4 mile recovery, 2 times 1/2 mile with 1/4 mile recovery. Run home. Total 7 miles.
