ACPS Daily Digest For Dec. 3, 2009

Keeping you informed about happenings around Alexandria City Public Schools

Take heed of today’s words of wisdom, spoken by children’s advocate and actress/producer/director Goldie Hawn: “Youthfulness is connected to the ability to see things new for the first time. So if your eyes still look at life with wonder, then you will seem young, even though you may not be chronologically young.”

T.C. Vision

In a letter being distributed to ACPS students, parents and colleagues, Superintendent Morton Sherman writes: “T.C. Williams High School is the flagship of our school division, and it has long had the reputation of a school with deep traditions of success, caring, and high expectations for all its students. When T.C. Williams opened its new facility in 2007, many of those traditions naturally became a part of the new building, and its educational design … We need your support and input.  I am asking for volunteers to work as a T.C. Vision and Action Committee to review where we are and where we should be going over the next 3-5 years.  I am inviting staff, parents, community members, and students to work on the committee.  Bill Clendaniel and I have asked Peter Balas to assume the role of committee chairman.” Read the entire letter online at http://www.acps.k12.va.us/news2010/nr2009120303.php .
