Not only is today Friday – always worth celebrating – but May 15 also happens to be International Day of Families, National Pizza Party Day and National Chocolate Chip Day! Community Meeting
The public is encouraged to participate in a community meeting about the Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS) proposed New Middle School Model that will create five new middle schools. The meeting will take place at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27, in the auditorium at T.C. Williams High School, 3330 King St., Alexandria. Car Wash

Excellence in Education
Winners of the 2009 Alexandria Education Partnership Excellence in Education Awards, presented by Mark Anderson Consultants, will be announced at a banquet and ceremony on Wednesday, June 3, at 5 p.m. at the Westin Hotel, 400 Courthouse Square, Alexandria.

Maury Family Night
