Fifth-grade students from Charles Barrett Elementary School received recognition for their art at the Alexandria City Council meeting on May 26. Retired Sen. John Warner, also honored at the meeting, gave students words of advice on the universal appeal of art.

The T.C. Williams High School Fall Sports Orientation for student athletes and their parents is set for 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 4. The T.C.
