On Saturday, I did a little extra work for my internship. I met with Regan at the G.W. Middle School football field and we covered the Mayor’s Cup Challenge Match, a rugby match between Alexandria and our sister city, Dundee, Scotland. I took notes on the match and Regan photographed it. Regan was able to have me out on the field with her, right next to the players. That felt pretty cool, since everyone else had to stand behind a fence to watch the match! After it ended, Regan and I got some extra information from the coaches about their players. It was a very exciting game and I’m happy that I agreed to cover it.
